Protection for renewable energy, industry and electrical appliances

Device protection fuses are essential in a wide range of applications. In addition to their use in numerous subsystems in photovoltaics, wind power and battery storage, they are used throughout industry and in the sector of standard electrical devices: from household appliances and consumer electronics to professional kitchen equipment, control systems, metering and control technology, mechanical engineering, electromobility, railway technology, telecommunications and military applications. Wherever sensitive electronic equipment needs to function reliably, our device protection fuse-links ensure maximum operational reliability. They protect your components from overload and short circuit, reduce downtime and safeguard investments in your products – whether in power supply, manufacturing processes or the consumer sector.

Fuse-links for very low rated currents: 32mA, 250V, 100A rated breaking capacity

Why miniature fuses?

Miniature fuse-links are much more than just a standard component – they are the concealed safeguard for your valuable systems and processes. Our miniature fuse-links react instantly to excessive currents in the event of a fault, thereby preventing costly consequential damage. With their optimized design, high-quality materials and premium workmanship they generate very little heat and have a long service life, even under demanding conditions.

The robust construction, often of sturdy ceramic, ensures reliable disconnection in the event of a short circuit or overload. The optimized electrical design of the melting elements ensures optimal disconnection times in the event of a fault.

The result is protection that not only functions, but also sets new standards.

Your benefits at a glance

  • Investment in protection, efficiency and reliability
  • Less downtime
  • Protection of your valuable equipment and devices
  • Protection of life and limb
  • You benefit from a solution that integrates seamlessly with your systems

To ensure you have the right solution for every situation, we offer miniature fuse-links with different characteristics:

Characteristic Description
FF very fast-acting
F fast-acting
M medium time-lag
T time-lag/slow-blow
TT very slow
Drives in continuous operation

Heating pumps, room fans and heat pump inverters often run for thousands of hours without maintenance. With short circuits or overloads, GS miniature fuses-links reliably prevent consequential damage.

SMD fuse-links are generally used in electronic circuits up to 305V AC; for general-purpose applications and higher voltages or power ratings, cylindrical fuse-links in sizes 5×20mm, 6.3×32mm or larger are suitable. Fuse-links rated up to 32A and with a rated voltage of several kV are available.

Emergency power supply and emergency lighting units

These applications must be fully capable of AC and DC operation: Normally from the mains, in emergencies from central batteries – with higher DC short circuit currents. GS miniature fuse-links are designed to reliably protect both operating modes and to ensure the availability of critical infrastructure.

Hazardous areas (explosion protection)

Where intrinsic safety must be ensured – for example, in transducers, level or flow meters – we offer fuse-links with low rated currents of 32 to 100mA to provide reliable equipment protection, while minimizing energy input into the device.

Power supply units and power supplies

Modern industrial power supply units are configurable specialized applications. GS covers the full range: from the smallest 32V DC SMD fuse-links for secondary-side applications through to cylindrical 500V AC fuse-links (6,3×32mm) and high currents – suitable for various power ratings and topologies.

We offer a wide range of designs and rated currents – tailored to your requirements:

  • SMD fuse-links ranging from the smallest chip fuse to 500V applications.
  • Cylindrical fuse-links in a wide range of power ratings and designs, from the sensitive 32mA type for industrial sensor technology up to 10kV fuses for demanding
  • monitoring applications in the distribution network. SIBA offers suitable solutions for the vast majority of applications.
  • Customized solutions for specific electrical requirements as well as mounting and connection solutions we are happy to develop in collaboration with customers.

Additionally, suitable fuse holders, bases, indicator systems and accessories are available to ensure seamless integration.
