Small, but packing a punch: new SMD at electronica 2010

SMD and more: meet SIBA-experts in munich november 2010

October 2010 – SIBA's new SMD fuse for mains protection will be one of the highlights to be found at the fuse maker's stand at electronica 2010, the world's leading electronics fair. Although ultra-small in dimensions, it is capable of interrupting currents of up to 4000A at mains voltage level. Measuring 4.5x16mm, the new SMD is not only smaller than its 5x20mm cylindrical sister products, but also much easier to mount on circuit boards, thanks to its square cross-section typical for SMD products. Learn more about our new SMD in the current SIBA fuse.on magazine (issue No. 1/2010).

At the fair itself, experts from SIBA will be at hand to discuss the fuse maker's entire portfolio of electronics products, from the tiniest of fuses for chip protection through to ceramic fuses for the protection of photovoltaic devices. And if you have special application needs, our R&D experts will be glad to devise a solution for you.

SIBA is a regular exhibitor at Munich's electronica. This year, the fair is taking place from November 9-12, and almost 2,800 firms are expected to attend. You will find SIBA at Stand No. 115 in Hall B6. In addition to MEMS, or microelectromechanical systems, wireless technologies, medical engineering and organic electronics, the themes highlighted in Munich include photovoltaics and renewable energy - two areas in which SIBA also has considerable expertise and for which it can offer a wide range of special fuses. Additional information concerning photovoltaic solutions can be found here in the SIBA fuse.on magazine, issue No. 1/2009 or in this solar power brochure.
